There is no “standard” solution for irrigation systems; success depends on precise site analysis. For a recent project with a long 10-meter suction line, we opted for a traditional AC pump over a DC model. While DC pumps are cost-effective, their “soft start” feature can lead to prime loss on long suction runs. Our solution used a high-torque AC pump integrated with an On-Grid solar system to minimize operational costs.
